Praise Him. Worship wherever, whenever!

This vid was introduced to me by Joash, and i felt all youths should watch it=)

Honestly, i have ever wanted to do something like this, and it happens once in a while on the bus or train while i'm worshipping along with my mp3 that i feel like just going on my knees, lifting my hands and just singing praises! (:

as Psalms 95: 1-2, 6 says:

" 1 Oh come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our Salvation. 2 Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms."
" 6 Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker."

let us all read through Psalms 95, which is a call for worship and obedience from us! and its amazing to read through all the Psalms that talk of worship. Its as if u don't have to wait for someone to write a song before u can worship. U can just worship God through thanksgiving, music that sings joyfully to Him and even the Psalms from the bible(: great is'nt it?

The Recession - A Short Entry

God Of This City by Chris Tomlin

This song was used in the video of the youth screened during service yesterday. The lyrics attracted my attention and it set me thinking. As the recession worsens, every one of us will be impacted in one way or another. Honestly, I found it rather sad that I cannot walk into a shop and not think twice, sometimes thrice, before I purchase something. However, this song somehow reminded me that no matter what happens, we can always look upon Him as our source of hope.

"I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father."
John 14:12 (NIV)

Now, now, as I think about it, I recall Uncle Kenneth sharing the verse Matthew 6:19 "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal."

Indeed, what are our earthly riches compared to our heavenly wealth?

a new year's resolution-moo

Hi all dear Club Moriahites! =)
i just totally agree with V that God is just so awesome!
I probably have not had the time to share with all of you guys everything that God has done for me, cuz its just so overwhelming! He is just there every step of the way. and He never fails to somehow remind me that He is always there(:
And no... im not perfect. But God has been really paitent with me. Through times when i fell back pretty hard, because i felt i was not living up to God's standards. Through tough times with my schoolmates. Through all the sad times and the happy times in every point in my life, whether im mad at my dad, or whining about some of my groupmates. I'm really thankful and glad that God did'nt strike me out with a lightning bolt of some sort. That if i just put my trust in Him, and not worry too much, i won't have to grow white hair sooner than is needed(:
Like it is said in Jeremiah 29:11 " For I know the thoughts I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughs of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."(KJV) or in some other versions, "to give you a hope and a future"
So i guess for some, and many of us, this could be our new year's resolution! to entrust everything to God to do His will!

As 2008 comes to an end - the pilot entry

Hello all, this is the new blog that Naomi and a few of us were discussing about over MSN, thinking we need a more user-friendly one. Took me quite a while to navigate around Blogger but the layout is finally done. Wanted to keep it simple and neat-looking but if you have any ideas for the layout do drop a comment! Much credits to the previous website (as you can see I reused the introduction and I took the youth's logo off there. I will share the username and password with all of you when I next see you guys. We will keep this going! (When you finish blogging click on "Publish Post", "Save Now" will only save it as a draft!)

So, today at youth we had a short thanksgiving session and personally, I was very encouraged by the testimonies that everyone gave. Having joined CM this May (on the tenth to be exact), I am very thankful for the past seven months plus that all of you have given me and the help you guys provided me during my spiritual growth. I really enjoy fellowship with CM and Godly friends like you guys help me to keep myself in check because, as I have shared earlier, the temptations out there are too overwhelming.

Year 2008, for me it was a really fast 12 months. New school, new friends, new classmates, etc. I made my fair share of mistakes but in the Bible it says (thank you Sherrie for sharing this with me), in Isaiah 1:18, "Come now, let's settle this," says the Lord. "Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow." Praise the Lord! His capacity to forgive is so unimaginable for a mere human mind like mind.

This school holiday has been more than fruitful. As mentioned many times during several testimonies this afternoon, there were conference, camp and Christmas (all Cs haha). I must say that it has been a spiritual breakthrough for me, having encountered God like never before on the second day of conference (we were dancing and suddenly we felt the Holy Spirit come down upon us so strongly we started praying and all), speaking in tongues for the first time during encounter night of camp, and really committing everything unto the Father and drawing strength from Him when I was shaking so badly translating Naomi's testimony, and eventually went through the five minutes (that felt like forever) by faith.

I look forward to the coming new year, knowing that God has more great and mighty things in store for each and every one of us! I'm sure all of you feel the same way! Onward, Christian soldiers!
